Harness your expertise of the pelvic floor. Bring awareness and empowerment to a vital portion of our bodies that is classically misunderstood, silenced and shamed. Why work the pelvic floor? How do we assess if a pelvic floor is hypertonic? Hypotonic? What systemic experiences would either of those conditions cause? Can YOU embody your pelvic floor? Spend two days with Denise Foster Scott, Board Certified Structural Integrator and core instructor at the Soma Institute of Neuromuscular Integration, as she helps clarify working on the pelvic floor and psoas while bringing you into a greater awareness of your own body. We will bring insight to the anatomy and physiology of the pelvis, working with trauma, communication and broaden the importance of pelvic diaphragm work. Through the lens of manual therapy, we will explore structural analysis, pelvic floor treatment technique, and self-care all while awakening our own connection to what Dr. Ida Rolf called the “seat of your soul.”
Fee is $400.
$100 non-refundable payment due at time of registration. Remainder paid upon first day of class.
